Languages
The game is understood through pictures; the few words in it come in 13 languages.
Which friend would you like to play with?
Every level can be finished with every friend; the superpowers just make things easier. Friends can be swapped at any moment, and the hats won can be put on.

Jumps once more while in the air.
Eat the mushroom, grow big!
Bump the ribboned gift boxes from below and out comes gold, a mushroom with a turquoise cap, a bubble flower or a rainbow star. The friend who eats the mushroom grows and can break bricks; with the flower it blows bubbles, and with the star nothing can touch it for a while.
- Secret tunnelsA down arrow appears above some logs; go inside and a secret room full of gold opens up.
- Big starsEvery level hides 3 big stars. The stars collected unlock 8 different hats.
- Springs and moving platformsA friend who steps on a spring shoots into the sky; seesaws, cloud bridges, swinging biscuits…
Every world is its own adventure
Every world has 6 long levels. Along each level the color of the sky and the scenery change, and the path goes through dark caves.

The game never ends, and nobody gets upset
Hop Hop Friends has no "game over" screen and no lives to count. A friend who falls into a gap or bumps into a bug is picked up by a cute bubble and set down somewhere safe. A big friend first shrinks back, then the bubble comes; there is no rush, no time pressure and no punishment.
- Bugs turn into flowersLadybug, snail, bee or jelly: every bug that gets jumped on turns into colorful flowers.
- Three flagsEvery level has three flags; a child who reaches a flag carries on from there.
- Gaps are filled with waterIn every world, gaps are shown with clearly visible water (a chocolate river in Candy Land), so they never blend into the ground.

About Hop Hop Friends
What age is it suitable for?
It is designed for children aged 3 to 8. The first world is slow and easy; the buttons are big and no reading is needed. The later worlds get harder little by little. For younger children, you can find screen-time recommendations by age in our parents' guide.
Will my child get upset about losing?
No. The game never ends and no lives are lost. A bubble rescues a friend who falls into a gap or bumps into a bug, and the game continues from the flag in the middle of the level. Bugs that get jumped on turn into flowers, too.
How long does a level take?
For a child, a level usually takes 3 to 5 minutes. Every level has three flags; a child who reaches a flag carries on from there, even after a fall. To limit play time, you can use the timer in the parent area.
Is it free, and does it have ads?
It is completely free. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. Hats are won in the game by collecting big stars.
Can it be played in the browser too?
Yes. The browser version opens on a computer, tablet or phone with nothing to install. On a computer it is played with the arrow keys and the space bar (the down arrow enters a tunnel, X blows a bubble). Progress and settings are stored only inside that browser; they are never sent to us or anyone else.
Does it work offline?
Once the Android app is downloaded, no internet connection is needed; it even works in airplane mode. The browser version needs the internet to open the page.
Which languages can it be used in?
It can be used in 13 languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Indonesian, Japanese and Korean.
Which devices does it run on?
It can be downloaded from Google Play on phones and tablets with Android 7.0 or later that support OpenGL ES 3.0. The game is played in landscape. The browser version runs in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari that support WebGL 2.
