Information we collect
None. The app does not connect to the internet (it has no internet permission) and does not send data to any server. The app does not request any device permissions (location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, storage, etc.); the microphone and camera are never used and your child's voice is never recorded. Letters colored with a finger are not saved; they are only shown on the screen. The music box and bell sounds ship with the app; button sounds are generated on the device.
Reading aloud
Letter names and example words (for example "A, apple") are read aloud by the text-to-speech engine that is already on your device. The app only passes its own letter names and words to that engine, never any personal information, and only chooses voices that work without an internet connection (installed on the device). Reading aloud can be turned off in the parent area.
Information stored on the device
Earned stickers, the letters written, the balloon counter and the home screen music, button sound, read-aloud, letter style, language and play-time settings are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage, and are never sent to the developer or anyone else. All of this is deleted when the app is uninstalled. If Android backup is enabled on your device, Android may include the app's data in the backup stored in your own Google account; the developer has no access to that backup.
Children's privacy
The app is directed at children and was built to comply with the Google Play Families Policy. No personal information is requested from or collected about children or parents. The app contains no external links, and children cannot leave the app to another website or app from within it. Settings are in a parent area that opens only after a 3-second press and hold.
Third parties
The app uses no third-party services and shares no data with third parties. All pictures are generated inside the app; sounds ship with the app or are produced by the device's own text-to-speech engine.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
